The duration of the intervention is, on average, 30 to 60 minutes, and the patient can go home on the same day.

Recovery

The recovery period is relatively quick, but it requires following medical instructions, such as:

• Avoiding intense physical effort for 1 to 2 weeks
• Sexual abstinence for approximately 4 to 6 weeks, until complete healing
• Wearing loose underwear for optimal comfort

Mild swelling and local sensitivity are normal during the first few days and gradually decrease.

Complete healing usually takes place within 3 to 4 weeks.
